A CHOC pediatrician and member of the board of directors for the Boys & Girls Club of Santa Ana, Dr. Mark Colon, was recently honored with an Orange County “Eddy Award” for his exemplary volunteer service and dedication to the club.
In awarding Dr. Colon, Robert Santana, chief executive officer of the club, said, “Dr. Colon has had a tremendous impact in the community and as a member of our board of directors. Dr. Colon has been the primary pediatrician at our CHOC clinic for almost 15 years. We are proud of our partnership with CHOC. We are proud to have Dr. Colon on our board of directors, and we are proud to call him a friend.”
Named after local broadcaster Ed Arnold, The Eddy Awards are presented annually by the Orange County Alliance of Boys & Girls Clubs. This prestigious honor is bestowed upon meritorious volunteers, typically board members, from each Orange County club in the spirit of service and altruism.
